Birth of a Telemarker,
Part Two
Video and Story
by Mitch Weber
In Part
One, we watched as 15 year-old J.T. took his first tentative
steps toward becoming a telemark skier. Picking up a few tips
from Big Tim along the way, J.T. went from flopping around on
the snow at the start to, by the end of Day One, getting down
the mountain on skis well enough to begin learning the turn.
Full of confidence as always, J. T. was really psyched to get
back out on Day Two and begin ripping tele turns.
Will his surfeit of confidence carry
J.T. through? Or is he in for a rude awakening as to the level
of difficulty involved in learning to tele? And just how far
can an athletic kid, with pretty much everything going for him,
get along the telemark learning path in just two days? Find out
here in Part Two and stick around for further updates as we continue
to document the birth of this telemarker.
