The New 7tm Leash

December, 2003--Karhu's Ted McGuinness sent us these new leashes the other day and now we are wondering, are these the coolest ski leashes ever?

Manufactured by 7tm, they utilize a non-swiveling version of an otherwise familiar, proven clip, and a unique thin coiled cable. The coil keeps the cable from flopping around and the non-swiveling clip makes it a lot easier to grip (especially with gloves or mittens on) while hooking it up to the boot.

With a suggested retail price of less than $20 a pair, this new 7tm leash appears to have solved the durability and usability problems long associated with several other popular ski leashes. There's just one problem, you might not be able to find them, "I'm having trouble getting shops to stock the new leashes, nobody seems very interested in carrying them," McGuinness told us the other day. If you are you are you might want to ask your local retailer to get a few.
