Mark Lingel
and his "Telemark Tech System"
Fall, 2011--
At last
winter's trade show demo day we had the pleasure of chatting
with Mark Lingel and learning more about a project he's been
working on for sometime, a new tele binding system that utilizes
the 'tech binding' fittings now being built into several models
of NTN boots. In this incarnation of Mark's interesting design,
he combines a Dynafit-style toe piece with a custom designed
cable guide arrangement, along with a traditional cable setup
and heel throw. Just as interesting are Mark's thoughts as to
what his design brings to the table, as well as his ideas with
regard to where it might fit into the market and the future needs
of telemark skiers.
