Is Global Warming Affecting North American Resort Snowfall Totals?

With concern mounting over global warming and associated climate change, we thought an interesting project would be to gather annual snowfall data from a few key resorts located across North America. While of course this data is of no value in in the debate over future climate change, it does make interesting reading and perhaps the very narrow question above (at least) can be answered. It does not appear (yet) to be the case.

I'll tell you this, I could have sworn that it snowed more at Mammoth when I was a teenager in the '70s than it did in the past decade. I guess looking back things tend to seem better then they really were. Music, snowfall, a lot of things.

Anyway, thanks to the media communications departments at the resorts listed below for taking the time to send us their data. We'll add to this page as more information becomes available.
