First Annual New England Amateur Telemark Film Festival
Get those cameras humming!! It is New England Amateur Telemark
Film Festival time!
New England Telemark (NET) will be hosting the First Annual
New England Amateur Telemark Film Festival, a true film festival!!
This is your opportunity to make your own film and win some great
prizes! NET is a group of telemark instructors dedicated to the
teaching of the telemark turn. Originating in Maine in the early
90's NET now includes over thirty instructors that come together
to teach at our telemark festivals and clinics around New England.
NETs goal is to grow the sport of telemark skiing, to educate
the public in the joys of telemark and backcountry skiing and
to expose the telemark skier to all the related products available.
Subject of the Films: What is the Spirit of Telemark to YOU"
The Rules: The applicant/film maker/producer/ etc.
must be a resident of the New England region; we will accept
submissions from New York! Films can be shot in any region or
part of the world; films must be no longer than 10 minutes total
running time; films must be in VHS or DVD formats (if in DVD,
it must be in NTSC DVD playable on ANY DVD player); deadline
for submission is September 15, 2004. Entry fee is $10.
The Selection: All videos submitted will be culled
down to 10 finalists. The pre-selection will be judged by totally
qualified professionals and the showing of the finalists will
be in early December in Brunswick, ME on the Bowdoin College
campus. The final judging will be audience conducted to determine
the winners of our GREAT PRIZES!! The winning video will be shown
on Telemarktips.com
The Prizes: GREAT PRIZES will be given away to the
top winners (more details to follow)!!
