On The Road With The Freeheel Storm

A Party Ends Early
March 2004--Salt Lake City, UT: The Freeheel Storm Tour has been on the road now
for a few months, banging the tele drum wherever they can. The
Storm Tour crew, Lorenzo Worster, Max Mancini, Ben Dolenc and
Taiga Young have been out working events and ski resorts across
the western states, trying to promote the sport and raise telemark
skiing awareness among the general public. Of course this is
very hard work, so sometimes the crew has to relax a little and
unwind.
Awhile back we ran into the Storm troopers
in Salt Lake City at (name withheld) Ski Area and joined Lorenzo,
Max and Taiga for a little impromptu event after-party, along
with some folks from an outdoor industry company, in the common-room
lounge of a lodging at the resort. Things went pretty well for
awhile. There was a sign above the TV limiting use of the room
to the hours prior to midnight and we were careful to make sure
we didn't stay over. And we tried to keep the noise level reasonably
down. Really.
Unfortunately it was not enough and a little
run-in with the manager of the complex ensued. The party was
forced out of the room and into the Freeheel Storm RV. 19 year-old
Taiga Young, demonstrating a maturity far beyond her years (or
maybe it was just because she was the sober one) decided to try
to apologize for the group. This went over about as well as....

Also on hand (among those we can name)
are Adam (Lorenzo and Max are heard here trying hard to get him
to cut his legendary long straight hair into a mullet) and Bjarke (outside the
RV near the end).
