Lincoln Loop

Although the Lincoln loop is not a hard trick once you learn the movements, first you should be comfortable jumping. It was named after a 70's Hot Dogging pioneer by the name of Eddie Lincoln. I would suggest trying this move first on either a trampoline or off of a diving board. I practice all my inverted tricks off of a one meter spring board before trying them on the mountain. The first part of this trick is done right when you hit the lip of the jump. As you hit the lip, set the rotation. The set is achieved by leaning your head towards your shoulder. You can also, at the same time, reach your hand on that same side down towards your boot.

Once the rotation is set, you will need to determine its speed. If it is a small quick jump you will need to be rotating fast. To speed up the rotation tuck up harder. If the jump is bigger with more hang time you can slow the rotation down by opening up more.

The key to this trick is to keep your eyes looking forward for the landing. Once you spot the landing bring your feet under you and reach your hands forward for a good solid landing.
